KALTENBERG CASTLE
BIRTHPLACE OF ROYAL BAVARIAN BEER
Since 1871, beer has been brewed in the cellars of Kaltenberg Castle according to the family's brewing tradition. When Prince Luitpold took over the management of the brewery in 1975, he succeeded in expanding the range of beers in an attractive way that simultaneously met the demands of tradition, modernity and the highest quality. Beer connoisseurs all over the world can taste that here the master brewers still take personal care of our valuable raw materials to guarantee the highest product quality. Prinz Luitpold himself regularly tastes the freshly brewed beers to ensure they meet with his personal approval.
PLACE OF CULINARY PILGRIMAGE
FINE PLEASURE IN ROYAL AMBIANCE
Kaltenberg Castle is, of course, a popular place of pilgrimage for beer lovers but besides "liquid pleasure" it also offers excellent Bavarian cuisine. Depending on individual taste and the weather, you can enjoy hearty local dishes in the idyllic beer garden or in the cosy "Ritterschwemme" and, in the upper rooms of the castle, the "Bräustüberl restaurant" invites you to Bavarian fine dining in a royal ambience. Wherever you enjoy your meal, you will always get Royal Bavarian beer directly from the castle's beer cellar.
